Philanthropy

Through the generosity and compassion of Masonic Fraternity members past and present, Minnesota Masonic Charities has grown to become a leading grantmaker in the state, capable of influencing outcomes in significant causes such as cancer research and children’s health. The organization provides over $6 million annually in mission and other grants, addressing the most critical issues faced by our society today, and becoming the University of Minnesota’s largest single donor in history.

“You can’t get very far until you start doing something for somebody else.”

– Brother Melvin Jones, Grand Lodge of Missouri

Mission Grants

The Minnesota Masonic Charities Matching Grants Program empowers Lodges and Chapters to amplify their impact on local charitable causes by providing a unique opportunity to double their fundraising dollars. Among the distinguished beneficiaries is Crescent Cove, extending care and support to children and young adults facing life-limiting conditions, alongside MAC-V and Eagles Healing Nest, both dedicated to addressing the needs of Minnesota veterans experiencing homelessness and grappling with the enduring effects of trauma, including PTSD and addiction. Through strategic partnerships with these mission grant organizations, the program elevates the philanthropic efforts of Masonic entities and champions meaningful change within communities, tackling critical issues with compassion and commitment.

Why donate to Minnesota Masonic Charities? Because we are capable. Combining your dollars with ours exponentially increases your ability to make a significant difference in the areas that most concern you. And MMC makes sure every cent is invested prudently.
