2011 Scholarship Recipients
The Minnesota Masonic Charities Scholarship Committee met in April 2011 to select five Signature Scholarship recipients and three Masonic Legacy Scholarship recipients. Over 175 applications were submitted and a final short list of 56 candidates was reviewed by the committee. In addition to their quantitative statistics (i.e., GPA and ACT scores) the applicants were carefully evaluated based on their essay responses, extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation.
Those students who were awarded scholarships demonstrated outstanding academic and personal achievement - all scoring in the 96th to 99th percentile in the national ACT test range - as well as a shared goal indicated by all eight recipients: to pursue learning that will provide a means of allowing them to contribute to society and their community.
With congratulations to these future leaders, MMC presents brief profiles of our 2011 Minnesota Masonic Charities Signature Scholarships and Masonic Legacy Scholarships Recipients.
